Fri. Nov. 13 4:00pm

Today, we had a minor set back. Chris developed ventilator associated pneumonia in his left lung. As we understand it, this happens frequently with patients who are on a ventilator for several days. In response to the ventilator associated pneumonia, the doctors put Chris back on 100% oxygen. They have already decreased that to 90% and that is where it has remained for most of the day. Yesterday, before Chris developed ventilator assocaited pneumonia, the nurse said that they would increase and decrease the amount of oxygen he receives as a part of weaning him off of the ventilator.

All of Chris' vitals remain good and he still has not had a temperature since Monday night. The doctor said that his blood work continues to improve each day. We also found out that Chris does NOT have salmonella. It was a mis-read by the lab. However, Chris is still in critical condition and has long road ahead of him.

Please continue to pray for him!!!!!!
